About these terms

SaaSquirrel is a directory of independently built apps, SaaS products, tools, and side projects. These terms describe the rules for accounts, submissions, and use of the directory.

Your account

You can browse the directory without an account. A confirmed email account is required to submit projects, manage your workspace, or upvote. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access.

If you submit on behalf of a team or business, you must have permission to do so. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Submitting a project

Submit projects you own or are authorized to represent. You are responsible for the accuracy of descriptions, pricing labels, screenshots, logos, tags, and website or social links. Only upload material you have permission to publish; keep confidential information and other people’s personal data out of screenshots.

The submission flow currently asks you to add and verify a SaaSquirrel badge on your project website and support 3 existing projects. It presents these steps before submission. We may fetch the URLs you provide to check the website, suggest listing details, and verify the badge.

Submission does not guarantee approval, a particular launch date, placement, traffic, votes, or search rankings. We review projects and may request changes, decline a submission, or remove a listing that is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with these rules.

Ownership and publication

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it for publication, you give SaaSquirrel permission to store, reproduce, format, and display it for your listing, its directory previews, and link-sharing previews. This permission is limited to operating and presenting the service.

Approved listing information—including your project’s maker name, description, images, and links—is public. Other people may share the project page, and search engines may index it. Private account information, unapproved drafts, and review feedback are not part of the public listing.

You can request a listing correction or removal. Search engines and third-party copies may take time to update after content is removed from SaaSquirrel.

Fair use and community rules

  • Do not submit malware, phishing pages, scams, or content that violates someone’s rights.
  • Do not impersonate makers, publish misleading claims, or upload confidential or unlawful material.
  • Do not use fake accounts, automation, or coordinated abuse to manipulate votes or overwhelm the service.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, extract private data, or interfere with other users.

We may restrict accounts or listings to address abuse, protect the service, or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the issue and give you an opportunity to contact us.

Third-party projects and websites

A listing or review is not a guarantee of a project’s quality, security, availability, or fitness for your needs. Projects are provided by their own makers. Their websites, prices, terms, and privacy practices apply when you leave SaaSquirrel.

SaaSquirrel does not sell the listed software or process its purchases. Check a project’s current terms and pricing before signing up or paying its provider.

Service changes and your rights

We aim to keep the directory useful and accurate, but features, listings, and availability can change. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every listing remains up to date.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights.

Material changes to these terms will be communicated before they take effect where required.

Questions and content reports

For questions, account closure, listing removal, a copyright concern, or a report of unlawful content, contact hello@saasquirrel.com.

For a content report, include the project-page URL, what you believe is wrong, and enough detail for us to investigate. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents. See the Privacy Policy for personal-data requests.
